What happens in a free cyber security consultation?
A 30 to 60 minute conversation about what your business runs, what data it holds and what is worrying you. You leave with a clear view of your three or four highest priorities and a rough sense of effort and cost. There is no obligation and no charge.
Would rather just call?

What you get from the call
- ✓A conversation about your actual systems, not a generic sales presentation
- ✓Our view of your three or four highest-priority risks
- ✓Clear guidance on whether Cyber Essentials applies to you and why
- ✓A rough indication of effort and cost, so you can plan a budget
- ✓A written follow-up summarising what we discussed
What we will ask you
Nothing you need to prepare for. We will ask roughly how many staff you have, what you use for email and file storage, whether you have servers or an office network, what kind of data you hold about customers, whether anyone has asked you for security assurances, and whether anything has already gone wrong.
If you do not know some of the answers, that is entirely normal and is itself useful information. Nobody is expected to arrive with a network diagram.
What you will get out of it
A direct answer to "what should we do first?" — which for most businesses is a short list of specific actions, several of which usually cost nothing. If we think you do not need a paid engagement, we will tell you that on the call rather than sending a proposal.
You will also get a written follow-up so you have something to take to a partner, a board or an insurer.
